Travis

Travis started his legal career at Bull Housser & Tupper LLP (now Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP) upon his call to the B.C. Bar.  While in private practice at Bull Housser, Travis was a senior associate who provided practical legal advice for mid-market businesses in B.C. and advised on numerous mid-market transactions for private equity firms and family offices with deal sizes ranging from $25 – $500 million.

 

Recently Travis was the Director, Legal at Ballard Power Systems Inc.  Travis led many of Ballard’s recent acquisitions and divestitures and commercial contract negotiations.

At Ballard Travis was responsible for driving transactions from the letter of intent through to post-closing integration or separation. Recent publicly announced transactions that Travis was responsible for included the sale of Ballard Unmanned Systems to Honeywell, the purchase of strategic assets from AFCC, a joint venture of Daimler AG and Ford Motor Company, the acquisition of Ballard Motive Solutions, and the agreement for the sale of fuel cells to Siemens AG to power the Mireo Plus H passenger train.
